Mike Lazaridis, RIM's CEO, presented on Tuesday during the annual Blackberry first images of the next major version of the operating system that equips its smartphones. On the menu Blackberry OS 6.0, an interface that does not really break with the existing, but that is more cheerful, easier to handle and increasingly turned to the uses connected.
From this first glimpse of Blackberry OS 6.0 are, notably the introduction of elements of personalization at the home page, with generally a revised design to paste the canons of modernity today. RIM also said its focus on multimedia, with a new music player and a new photo viewer, available on the same physical keyboard smartphones or on touch screen terminals.
As expected, the manufacturer confirmed the impending introduction of a new browser based on Webkit. The latter should be able to manage tabs and zoom through a multi-screen. Read more ...
